THE WATSON CASHEN COURSE – By ROBERT TRENT JONES
It’s simple really. If the Watson Cashen Course at Ballybunion Golf Club were situated anywhere else in the world, rather than beside the world-famous Old Course, it would attract far more attention and plaudits than it already does. A thrilling links in its own right, the Cashen is a rollercoaster ride, full of charm, quirks and spectacular holes – an experience not to be missed.
Established in 1893 – Steeped in a rich history
The opening meeting of the Ballybunion Golf Club in Ireland was held on the 18th inst., at the Castle Hotel, when it was decided to request Lord Listowel to allow himself to be nominated President, while Mr Carling of Newcastlewest and Mr Creagh of Listowel were elected Vice-Presidents.
