Message from our Captains/Presidents

Dear Members and Visitors,
We would like to extend a céad míle fáilte to all of you who visit our wonderful Club during 2026. We are in the privileged and honoured position to be Club Captains of this renowned Golf Club and we are looking forward to sharing its courses, its clubhouse and its other marvellous facilities with you throughout the year.
Ballybunion Golf Club has been recognised around the world as a special place since its foundation in 1893 and the Old Course is now regarded as one of the finest links courses ever built. Since our centenary Club Captain, Tom Watson, along with Sandy Tatum Jr, first “discovered” Ballybunion in 1981, golfers have flocked here year after year in their thousands.
Ballybunion is a great place to renew old acquaintances and to forge new friendships. Our helpful and friendly staff will leave no stone unturned to make the golfing experience both satisfying and memorable for everyone.
We ask all members and visitors to respect and cherish our two wonderful courses which nature has entrusted to us.
We hope that 2025 will be an enjoyable and fulfilling experience for everybody involved in the game of golf at Ballybunion Golf Club and we look forward to seeing you on the fairways or in the clubhouse during the year.
Mar a deireann an seanfhocal – Is ar scath a chéile a mhaireann na daoine agus ní neart go cur le chéile.
Frank Dore & Elaine Molyneaux – Captains 2026
Frank Fenn & Deirdre Dillane – Presidents 2026

Ballybunion Golf Club plays a vital role in conserving the landscape into which its courses sit, ensuring perfect harmony between golf and the environment.
The extensive dune grasslands not only play an important role in the strategic aspects of the golf course set-up but also have significant wildlife value.
